The Salmo Elementary Winter concert and sing along was a great success! After several years of hosting digital events, it was so wonderful to have an in-person concert. With overwhelming outpouring of support from parents, grandparents and the community, we were able to fill our gym and it was standing room only!

The Gr. 3/4 class at Salmo Elementary are great gift givers! During the holidays they are always thinking of others. It is tradition for them to make cards and gifts for the local senior centre so that cheer and friendship can be shared at this time of year. Students worked hard for several weeks on their crafts. They made 130 original cards, and an equal amount of varied types of ornaments.

Winter is officially here at Salmo Elementary! Students are enjoying all the benefits and fun of outdoor play. Students can be often seen sledding, digging and building out in the playground. There have been snowmen, forts and new elements of play in our yard.

Students and staff at Salmo Elementary School recognized Remembrance Day on Thursday Nov. 10 with an assembly and an art walk.

All classes learned about the importance of Remembrance Day, and the meaning it has to us as Canadians. Students then created various pieces of art which was displayed throughout the gym during the assembly.
