Students and staff at Salmo Elementary School recognized Remembrance Day on Thursday Nov. 10 with an assembly and an art walk. 

All classes learned about the importance of Remembrance Day, and the meaning it has to us as Canadians. Students then created various pieces of art which was displayed throughout the gym during the assembly.

At SES, we are exploring the Seven Sacred Teachings as a core value system within our school code of conduct.

Salmo students and staff had a great showing of creativity with Halloween costumes! Everyone joined the fun and came out with unique apparel and personas for the day!

It was a great day of fun and celebration!

On October 31 Salmo Elementary Students gave back to our community by participating in  Halloween for Hunger!

They went trick-or-treating for non-perishable food items for the Salmo Food Bank.

The Salmo Family of Schools had a  goal of 2000 pounds of food collected, and we almost reached it with a final count of 1300 pounds of food and $200 donations.

On October 14th, 32 determined and enthusiastic Salmo Elementary students went to Lakeside Park for the 2022 Cross Country Run. This was the first run in 2 years and the students certainly rose to the occasion!
