Hello!  My name is Shellene MacInnis, and I am so grateful to be part of the Salmo Elementary School staff for a second year.  I grew up six hours north of Winnipeg and enjoyed growing up in a small town.  There’s just something special about a rural, close-knit community.  I moved to British Columbia 22 years ago and am still amazed at the beauty of the Kootenays.  I live in Castlegar with my husband and three children, one of whom is grown and the other two in high school. I have been a teacher since 1997 and have experience teaching grades K-12.  In my spare time, I enjoy hikes with our 115 pound “lap dog” Daisy, fishing, cross country skiing, playing piano, travelling, camping, harvest time and taking pictures.  I’m looking forward to a great year.
