So many changes!

Feeling thankful

We've been busy transforming Salmo Elementary with a series of renovations. Recently, we've installed three new floors, enhancing spaces like the sensory room, teacher prep area, and library. This transformation has sparked the creation of two new zones within the school. One is dedicated to movement breaks, while the other serves as a relaxation zone, designed to soothe and prepare both body and mind.

Our library is next on the list for updates. In the coming week, we'll be giving it a fresh coat of paint and organizing a collaborative effort to review our current book collection and identify new additions. Our goal is to boost student engagement and foster a love for reading.

On the facilities front, we've added a new dishwasher sanitizer to our school kitchen. What sets this one apart is its dual capacity, offering us an extra layer of efficiency. In an unexpected turn, our staff fridge recently reached the end of its lifespan. We took this opportunity to upgrade to a larger model, which will come in handy for storing produce from our expanding fruits and vegetables program.

Lastly, we're excited to share that the district has provided support for Salmo Elementary to acquire new furniture items. Stay tuned for more details as we continue to roll out these exciting changes!

The school community thanks the incredible work of the Operations department. What you do makes a difference, you matter, and are seen.
