Halloween for Hunger

On October 31 Salmo Elementary Students gave back to our community by participating in  Halloween for Hunger!

They went trick-or-treating for non-perishable food items for the Salmo Food Bank.

The Salmo Family of Schools had a  goal of 2000 pounds of food collected, and we almost reached it with a final count of 1300 pounds of food and $200 donations.

Thank you, Salmo Village for your generosity!

Did you know????

-Halloween For Hunger was started, in Salmo, by Kenzie Waterstreet Neil

-The elementary classes walk the town, collect the food, bring to the secondary school where those students weigh the food and transport to the Salmo Food Bank located in the Salmo Community Services building

-The food collected helps support our community through to the new year
