Drums and a Rocket at SES

Image

Students worked on Science and the art of drum making in March.

Their efforts to launch a rocket didn't take off exactly, but much was learned in the attempt, and the need for modifications next time.

Drum making with Indigenous Education's Jesse Halton was a great success. Take a look at the images of students and teachers working hard to stretch their hides!

The reward for everyone's efforts was learning and a deeper understanding of the important place the drum holds in Indigenous culture.
