Salmo Elementary Students were ready to run for Terry Fox this year! After in class discussions and instruction on the legacy of Terry Fox, students were able to discuss the effects of cancer and cancer research and identify someone in their lives who have been affected by this disease. For the run, students were encouraged to #Tryliketerry and set a goal for the run. Some ran the entire longest distance, while others walked, or took shorter routes. At the end there was a celebration in the field with juice and snacks. Thanks to our staff and parent helpers who came out for the event!
