Nature through the Seasons

Mrs. McInnis and Ms. Hatt's classes are participating in Wildsight's Nature through the Seasons program. They are exploring the outdoors through all different seasons. So far this winter, the K/1 class has explored ways that all creatures prepare for winter, different snowflake types as well as animal tracks. There are many outdoor learning activities planned for the upcoming winter months.

There is also an indigenous story behind each season of the year. There are thirteen moons represented on the seasonal wheel (did you know the 13 scutes on turtle’s back hold the key to the thirteen cycles of the moon and the changing seasons?). Classes are contributing to activities they do in each season. Each quadrant will be completed by June to represent all our learning!
